Jacob is a seabird ecologist. His passion for seabird science sparked during his Bachelor’s degree in Biology, when he used GPS to study where common terns forage in the Gulf of Maine. After graduating in 2023, Jacob studied Arctic seabird foraging as the first Fulbright-National Geographic Awardee. While there, he also taught ecology lessons to elementary schoolers and fell in love with roller derby while playing for the Gdańsk Chrome Sirens. After spending time at the Polish Polar Station and in research, he is excited to shift gears and learn about tropical seabirds while enjoying some long-awaited outdoor skating.
